WHAT’S NEW WITH COLORADO CCW REQUIREMENTS…
COLORADO 2025 Concealed Handgun Permit Certificate compliance… Applicant must successfully complete an initial concealed handgun training course, a student is required to obtain a passing score on both a written competency exam and a live-fire exercise. This training course must consist of a minimum of 8 hours of instruction, which encompasses the live-fire exercise and the written examination.
Damage Factory CHP Certificate will be good for 10 years.

How to apply for CO compliant CHP:
Reach out to your local Sheriff office to schedule your application. You must have the following paperwork with you:

Training (any one of the following)

Evidence of experience with a firearm through participation in organized shooting competitions, or current military service (example: Common Access Card);

Evidence that, at the time the application is submitted, you are a certified firearms instructor;

Proof of Honorable Discharge from a branch of the United States armed forces within the last 3 years (example: DD-214 Member 4);

Proof of Honorable Discharge from a branch of the United States armed forces that reflects pistol qualifications that is less than 10 years old (example: DD214 Member 4 — this means the DD214 must be less than 10 years, and the pistol qualification also must be less 10 years old);

Certificate showing retirement from a Colorado Law Enforcement Agency that reflects pistol qualification obtained with the last 10 years;

Original training certificate signed by certified instructor, less than 10 years old — If you bring a photocopy, the photocopy must contain an ORIGINAL signature, meaning the certified instructor physically signed the photocop.
