Controlling and training this cadence can be crucial for defensive shooting, as it can improve survivability. When learning to shoot, new shooters first master the fundamentals and develop a stable shooting platform.

However, most shooters eventually reach a training plateau where their skills appear to stagnate. Many professional shooters remain at this plateau for their entire careers, which trainers often consider sufficient for their needs.Yet, one component that can be improved, even at the plateau stage, is shooting cadence.
